Toyo INK INC HOLDINGS CO., LTD. and Tokyo Institute of Technology Establish "Toyo Ink Group Collaborative Research Center" (added video on January 28)
TOYO INK SC Holdings Corporation (President and Representative DirectorSatoru Takashima, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) and Tokyo Institute of Technology (President Kazuya Masu, Meguro-ku, Tokyo) announced on January 13, 2022 that the Toyo Ink Group Collaborative Research Center will be established to promote cutting-edge research in the fields of environment, IT, and biotechnology. It was established with the support of the Tokyo Institute of Technology Open Innovation Organization.
At the Toyo Ink Group Collaborative Research Center, Tokyo Institute of Technology possesses advanced academic knowledge in a wide range of fields and pigments accumulated by the Toyo Ink Group. ・By integrating various small molecule and polymer synthesis technologies, such as resin synthesis, and fine dispersion technologies, we will promote comprehensive and comprehensive research and development, which would have been difficult to do in individual research, and promote the creation of new functional materials with new value and technologies for industrial applications.
We will take on the challenge of creating the value required in the new era by developing next-generation batteries and promoting the use of CO2 to solve global environmental problems, developing IT-related material technologies that contribute to the development of digital technology, and pursuing biotechnology that will lead to next-generation medical technology. In addition, we will build an R&D network based on mutual research exchanges and develop human resources who will be responsible for the development of the next generation of cutting-edge research and industrial technology.
The Toyo Ink Group will create innovative technologies in the three scientific fields of sustainability, communication, and life through joint research with Tokyo Institute of Technology in cutting-edge science and technology. By utilizing this technology in product development and contributing to the realization of healthy and comfortable lives for people around the world, we will contribute to society as a chemical manufacturer.
