Regarding price revisions for gravure/flexographic inks and laminating adhesives

TOYO INK CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director Yanagi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has decided to revise the prices of gravure flexo inks and laminating adhesives starting from July 1, 2022.

Although we announced and implemented price revisions in December 2021, the supply and demand balance for petrochemical raw materials has remained tight since then, much more than expected, and the price of energy resources is accelerating on a global scale, leading to inflationary pressures. This increase is putting pressure on costs in various processes, from procurement to manufacturing processes. As a result, the prices of pigments, resins, solvents, etc., which are the main raw materials for our gravure/flexo inks and laminating adhesives continue to rise further. In addition, due to the emergence of geopolitical risks, the prices of transportation costs, utilities, containers, and other subsidiary materials in the global supply chain continue to rise.
Our company has been working on cost reduction measures in all aspects, including reviewing raw material suppliers through the promotion of global procurement and further improving production efficiency. However, we have come to the conclusion that the cost is far beyond what we can absorb through our own efforts, and have decided to implement the price revisions as described below.

In the future, we will make further efforts internally and strive to improve our services to our customers.
