The "Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization Certification System" that certifies Outstanding Health & Productivity Management Organizations ~White 500~ is a system that recognizes corporations such as large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises that are practicing particularly excellent health and productivity management based on initiatives that are in line with local health issues and health promotion initiatives promoted by the Japan Kenko Kaigi. The Toyo Ink Group has been recognized as one of the certified health management organizations (large-scale corporation category) in recognition of its efforts to understand the health status of employees and conduct questionnaires to verify the effectiveness of measures to lead to health promotion measures, as well as employee health management measures in collaboration with the Health Insurance Society. We have been certified as a "White 500" company, which is one of the top 500 corporations in the results of the Health Management Survey Results. This is the seventh consecutive year that the Toyo Ink Group has been certified since its first certification in 2017.

The Toyo Ink Group will continue to maintain its management philosophy of "management with respect for People-oriented management." Based on the above, we believe that it is important to create an environment in which each and every employee can play an active role to the fullest, and we will continue to take initiatives for the health of our employees, such as health promotion, disease prevention, and mental health care.

Examples of initiatives

  1. Implementation and utilization of health-related surveys
Employee health issues and presenteeism (*1) We conducted an employee survey to understand the current state of engagement and elucidate the relationship, and we are using it to quantitatively measure the effects of measures to improve employee sleep, which have been implemented in collaboration with industry and academia since 2021. We will continue to strategically promote health management, including planning measures and verifying effectiveness using surveys.
*1 A situation in which an employee comes to work with some kind of illness or symptom, resulting in a decline in work performance and productivity.
  2. Happy & Healthy Canteen (HHC) Project
Employee cafeteria operators, business offices, and health insurance associations (clinics) work together to support participants in their efforts to improve their lifestyle habits by using the employee cafeteria as a place to improve their eating habits. By linking health management apps, we are evolving our measures to support health outside of working hours.
  3. Office healthcare report
The Health Insurance Association visualizes the rate of findings for each item in the health examination at each business site and provides feedback. This report is used to identify issues at each site, and the person in charge plans and implements health promotion activities.
  4. Preventing serious illness for high-risk people
Based on the health checkup results, the Health Insurance Society identifies people who are at high risk for lifestyle-related diseases, and through the management department of the workplace, individually encourages them to undergo medical examinations, and regularly checks on their hospital attendance status.
