Supports “Business for Marriage Equality” which promotes marriage equality

The Toyo Ink Group has expressed its support for "Business for Marriage Equality," which promotes marriage equality (legalization of same-sex marriage) in Japan.

Business for Marriage Equality (bformarriageequality.net) is jointly operated by the public interest incorporated association Marriage For All Japan, the NPO LGBT and Ally Lawyers Network, and the certified NPO Nijiiro Diversity. This is a campaign to visualize companies that support the legislation. As of July 26, 2023, 415 companies and organizations have expressed support for marriage equality (legislation of same-sex marriage).

The Toyo Ink Group's management philosophy is "management with respect for People-oriented management." We recognize that it is necessary to strengthen human capital in order to enhance our sustainability as a company, and we have established "diversity and inclusion" as one of the key issues to be addressed. In March 2020, the Group established the "Guidelines for Deepening and Supporting LGBT Rights" and has been conducting internal awareness-raising activities to realize a workplace environment in which diverse human resources can play an active role regardless of gender differences, such as gender identity, sexual orientation, and gender expression. On June 1, 2022, we introduced a partnership system, expanding the scope of application of in-house systems and benefits to common-law marriages and same-sex partners in addition to legal spouses. In addition, in order to promote understanding and expand networks within the company, we hold seminars and work to increase ALLYs, and these activities have been highly evaluated, and we have been awarded the highest level of gold in the PRIDE Index 2022.
