artience Co., Ltd. Received an A-rank rating for three consecutive years in the 5th JRECO Freon Countermeasure Ratings

artience Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director Satoru Takashima, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has recently undergone the evaluation of efforts toward the Fluorocarbon Emission Control Act by the Japan Refrigerants and Environmental Conservation Organization (Chairman: Hiroshi Koretsune, Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "JRECO"), a general incorporated foundation that jointly promotes proper management of fluorocarbons (FECs) in the "5th JRECO Fluorocarbon Countermeasure Rating," which promotes awareness and promotion of proper management of fluorocarbons. We have achieved an A rank for three consecutive years.

Fluorocarbons are widely used in industrial and household applications such as refrigerants for air conditioners, freezers, and refrigerators, as well as cleaning agents for electronic components, due to their non-flammability, low toxicity, and chemical stability. Fluorocarbons include 'specified fluorocarbons,' which are banned as causes of ozone layer depletion, and 'alternative fluorocarbons,' which do not possess ozone layer depletion properties. Both have extremely high greenhouse effects, hundreds to thousands of times that of CO2, and are globally required for legal regulation as unacceptable causes of global warming.
Based on the Fluorocarbon Emission Control Act enacted in 2015, artience group has established management systems at each site, striving to monitor fluorocarbon usage in equipment, calculate fluorocarbon leakage amounts, conduct simplified and periodic inspections, and disclose information in the annually published "Sustainability Data Book."
This third consecutive year of A Rank recognition is a comprehensive evaluation of our efforts and information disclosure regarding the CFC emission reduction law.
