Flexo CTP version

We apply the image processing technology and filmless platemaking workflow cultivated in gravure platemaking to flexographic platemaking, faithfully reproducing image data through full digital platemaking using high-performance CTP, and strongly supporting stable, high-quality flexographic printing. High resolution ablation type CTP version

The ablation type CTP plate is a plate-making method that uses a plate-shaped photosensitive resin and burns away the carbon layer on the resin surface with a laser for imaging.
TOYO FPP uses the CTP version of this type.

Characteristics

  • Capable of forming sharp halftone dots that are suitable for flat tops
  • Wide range of support with appropriate plate materials according to printing substrates
  • High-resolution CTP supports improved printing suitability and superior print finish through various microcell formations.
  • Plate thickness: Compatible with 1.14mm to 2.84mm
  • Compatible with water-based and oil-based inks as well as UV-curable inks

Effects obtained

With the ablation type CTP plate, it is possible to improve the printing quality as shown below.

Improved metastasis

Microcell improves transferability even in solid and shadow areas

smooth gradation expression

By improving the dot bridge, it is possible to express intermediate tones smoothly.

Suppression of karami

Improved RIP removes unformed dots and suppresses sagging.

Exposure machine effect

The workflow of plate making is development (drawing) → exposure (hardening of the drawn area). Using a high-brightness LED-UV as a light source, the exposure machine performs back exposure and main exposure simultaneously, providing plates with good repeatability.
Below are the effects that are generally said to be obtained by using an exposure machine with an LED light source.

  • Digital versions of each plate manufacturer can be used.
  • Direct light suppresses oxygen inhibition and further improves the flat top effect, ensuring solid density and reducing edge fading.
  • Improving minimum point reproducibility by forming stable relief through simultaneous exposure
