The Lioduras ™ MOL8000 series is a thermosetting hard coating agent (two-component) that achieves both the elasticity and durability of the coating film through a unique resin design. After curing, molding is possible, and the coating film boasts an excellent elongation rate of +200% or more.
It can be used in a wide range of applications including automobiles and home appliances, and especially for automotive applications, it has a proven track record as interior parts that require deep drawing molding. In addition, we offer a lineup of exterior products with excellent weather resistance.

No need for UV curing after molding

The Lioduras ™ MOL8000 series is a Precure-type hard coating agent (thermosetting type).

The typical aftercure type (UV curing) hard coating agent molds a semi-cured coating film and then fully cures it with UV irradiation. However, this method faces two challenges: (1) semi-cured products are difficult to handle and yield decreases, and (2) specialized equipment is required to UV cure complex shapes.
On the other hand, the Lioduras ™ MOL8000 series can mold fully cured paint films, eliminating the need for post-curing processes, thereby simplifying manufacturing processes and equipment and improving yield.

Excellent stretchability

Supports molding of complex shapes with an elongation rate of over 200%.

The MOL8000 series forms a coating film that exhibits excellent stretchability during thermoforming processing.
After curing, the coating film has an elongation rate of +200% or more, flexibly adapting to deformation during molding, which helps suppress cracking and peeling of the coating even when processing into complex shapes. We offer products with an elongation rate of +200%~+250% depending on the application. It can also accommodate especially complex shapes that require follow-up, such as automotive door trims.

High weather resistance

Passed tests equivalent to 10 years of outdoor exposure according to our company's standards

The Lioduras ™ MOL8000 series exterior model numbers offer excellent outdoor weather resistance.
In xenon weather meter tests, even under conditions equivalent to 10 years of outdoor exposure according to our standards, it demonstrates high performance with a gloss change rate of less than 10% and color difference change (ΔE value) or less than 2.

Chemical Resistance

In automotive interior parts, deterioration and denaturation caused by chemicals commonly exposed to daily such as sunscreen, cosmetics, and ethanol are major challenges. The cured coating film of the Lioduras ™ MOL8000 series is resistant to these chemicals and can be used on areas frequently touched by people.

The Lioduras ™ MOL8000 series offers excellent scratch resistance, maintaining both appearance and quality in applications such as automotive interior parts that are prone to scratches during boarding and unloading or loading or unloading luggage, as well as the housing of household appliances that frequently come into contact during operation.
