Highly transparent hard coating agent with primer function Lioduras™︎

Application example (smartphone back decoration film)
The sophistication of display devices such as TVs and mobile devices has been remarkable, and optical films, which play a role in various functions, are also evolving day by day, such as multilayering, sophisticated, and thin films.
Our hard coating agents, Lioduras™, have the transparency and hardness that are indispensable for optical films. There are several epoch-making series that combine primer functions for different materials to be laminated, and are expected to play an active role in a wide range of applications.

Features 1: Lamination adhesion of dissimilar materials (mainly metals and metal oxides)

When creating multilayer coatings for optical films, there are situations where it is necessary to laminate different materials such as different organic materials or organic/inorganic materials, but the adhesion between the different materials can also be an issue.

Adhesive materials such as primers are sometimes used for this purpose, but this can lead to problems such as increased film thickness and decreased physical strength and transparency. Lioduras has a lot of experience as a primer for dry films such as metals and ceramics.

Achieves both adhesion with various dry layers and hard coating properties

Lioduras LCH1587-55 and TYZ series are compatible with hard coating properties while adhering closely to metal oxide dry films such as SiO2, ITO, and Nb2O5. Lioduras MAC series has both hard coating properties and adhesion to metal dry films such as Cu and Ag.

Application history

Lioduras TYZ series has a proven track record as a primer for ITO films.
Lioduras LCH series has a proven track record as a primer for back decorative films for smartphones.
Lioduras MAC series has a proven track record as a primer for metal mesh films.

Feature ② High transparency and high hardness required for optical applications

It has the same level of transparency and hardness as general hard coating agents, and does not have the disadvantages of thickening adhesive materials such as primers mentioned above, or reducing physical strength and transparency.
